Eight CEE faculty members were selected as the recipients of the Environmental Solutions Initiative Seed Grants program, for their proposals that advance the search for solutions on complex environmental issues. Four out of the nine winning projects included CEE professors McLaughlin, Hemond, Gonzalez, Kroll, Heald, Harvey, Kocar and Polz. “It is exciting to see the tangible impact the new MIT-wide Initiative has on environmental research and on fostering new collaborations across the Institute,” said Professor Markus Buehler, CEE department head. For a description of the winning proposals, please read the MIT News article or see the Environmental Solutions Initiative website.
