Inaugural MIT Energy Hackathon fuels teams’ competitive spirit and impressive results

While the world discusses climate and energy issues on a global scale, the MIT community and others collaborated for a weekend in the exploration of current industry energy challenges. The inaugural MIT Energy Hackathon, co-led by CEE doctoral students Jessica Bryant and Thomas Petersen, was held Nov. 13-15 on campus and attracted roughly 250 attendees. “It has been very formative to watch how the participants have applied orthogonal thinking and independent acquisition of new knowledge to hack the different challenges,” said Assistant Professor Benedetto Marelli. “And all of this has been achieved in a limited amount of time.” Read the article.
